2012 VISTA Residential Conference "New Directions for Success"

May 20th - 22nd , 2012 at Balgownie Estate Vineyard and Spa, Yarra Valley, Victoria

The conference explores strategies connecting VET reform with contemporary economic, environmental and social reform. This conference’s themes include:
• Exploring the link between skill needs and emerging economic challenges (particularly focusing on workforce planning);
• Examining the alignment with VET policy and practice with economic, social and environmental trends;
• Exploring success in terms of:
o helping individual growth (learner / VET professional);
o enterprise innovation and business success;
o community development and community prosperity;
o successful / innovative RTO practice; and
o RTO involvement in successful innovative enterprise practice.

VISTA is the peak association for professionals working in the Victorian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.

VISTA is committed to raising the status of the VET profession within the community; promoting a deeper understanding of applied learning pedagogy within VET; and supporting the professional skill and career directions of VET practitioners.
